The perfect hotel for me is extra clean, it is practical, it has thoughtful amenities and it displays extraordinary service. LUMA Times Square has it all! Featuring a magnifying mirror, a Dyson hairdryer with all accessories (guys, you need to shout out more about it; for my curly hair, this was a game changer!), a sound machine for easy sleep, a classic handheld shower (hello, hygiene!!), amazing toiletries replenished daily sometimes, and attentive touches all around. I appreciated the coffee machine in the room and I would gently suggest providing a regular water bottle every day for making coffee, instead of the chic but a little unnecessary personalised aluminium bottles provided just on arrival. The staff has been genuinely friendly and very accommodating, especially Russell, Deborah and Travis (thank you so much again for that taxi you got for me!), and everyone else whose name I might have missed. Your daily smiles did make a difference! The breakfast was nice, a bit focused on the carbs. I would welcome an avocado on toast option, boiled or poached eggs and some more fresh cheese and non starchy veggies (cooked or raw). The breakfast coffee was also too watery, but this can definitely be easily improved. The atmosphere and the friendliness of the breakfast staff really made up for it and that’s what matters. And hats off to Alina, the cute robot that does minor room service jobs for you. Adorable! :) Overall, one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in and the best in NY by far. You can avoid the Times Square jungle by staying on Bryant Park’s side. The subway was under a minute away. A CVS and pharmacy around the corner and a Whole Foods just opposite, too. Thank you for making my stay in NY feel a bit like home.

The location was amazing if you are wanting to be able to walk 5 minutes to Broadway shows, or be in the middle of it all!! It is a hectic part of town, but the hotel is in a quiet street and you can certainly avoid the Times Square craziness if you want. Wholefoods/CVS pharmacy/Target/cafes all within about 50-100m which was fantastic - everything you could need! Hotel was super clean - always lots of housekeeping staff working right throughout the day. Staff were always pleasant - big shout out to the doormen!! They were always so lovely and helpful. Great little restaurant and bar downstairs. Door dash also able to be delivered without any hassle. Lifts were quick. Breakfast was just right for a quick brekky - mostly continental offerings, but they also cooked me an egg white omelette every day! Coffee was not my favourite, but literally right next door in the Martha Stewart cafe Maman, that does fabulous coffee and meals throughout the day. The views from the room were great. Beds were super comfy (sofa bed was a little squeaky but did the job, even for a 2 week stay!!). Showers were great, aircon great even on super hot days. Daily gym pass was great, with the gym just around the corner. Honestly, everything was just as it should be!

Breakfast was very good and Ron, the manager, was brilliant. He went out of his way to make our daughter, who is Celiac, feel comfortable, getting her gluten free bread and even brownies for breakfast, as well as getting us juices for our days out. Front desk staff were very helpful, getting us taxis and sorting our luggage The standards of cleaning were excellent - they even wrapped up our charging wires with a velcro tie! Size of beds - King beds were huge and very comfortable Bathroom was very clean with a good shower Nespresso coffee machine with free pods was very good Having a safe in the room was very useful The location is fantastic - literally a stone's throw from Times Square and on Broadway. Also, 50m from Bryant Park - which is lovely, with a very cool, relaxed atmosphere - my favourite place in NY

The property was modern, clean and the staff were welcoming. As with many hotels in Manhattan, we did not have to wait long for an elevator. LUMA is a gem a half block from Times Square own way and a half block from Bryant Park the other way. Bryant park is amazing- Opera, movies and Broadway in the park shows, chess, juggling, reading room and so much more. LUMA is conveniently located near many attractions and is extremely quiet at night as the rooms face the interior of the block. We will recommend the hotel to friends and stay here again.

The staff just go above and beyond for you. They accommodated us throughout our stay and made this hotel feel like a home away from home. We had an issue with our room and they happily moved us and sent their little robot with complementary wine and chocolates. The location is great and the rooms are very spacious and clean. We stayed in a room with two kind beds and it was perfect. Will definitely be back!
